Northwest Georgia Credit Union Recognizes Michelle Stricklin as Award Recipient
ROME, GA, April 4, 2006— Northwest Georgia Credit Union recently presented the Director’s Award to Michelle Stricklin. The Director’s Award is given annually by the Board of Directors to the employee who best exemplifies the credit union’s mission to provide excellent service and education, on the front lines or behind the scenes.
Ms. Stricklin has served at Northwest Georgia Credit Union for nearly 12 years, with the last 6 years spent as Accountant. Her primary responsibilities include preparing financial and accounting reports, recommending and monitoring budget and expenditures, managing payroll, and interacting with internal and external auditors. In 2004, she took on the added responsibility of the Selection and Retention Committee, a committee responsible for boosting employee relations. Ms. Stricklin has organized multiple employee events, worked to improved employee communication, and assisted with the development of a new employee incentive plan.
“Michelle is very helpful to all her fellow employees,” wrote Cheryl Huffman, President & CEO, in her nomination of Ms. Stricklin. “She works closely with each department to track their information and to provide them with help in balancing or researching problems….Michelle fully exemplifies the criteria for this award in all she does for Northwest Georgia Credit Union.”
