ROME, GA, April 20, 2006—Northwest Georgia Credit Union recently presented the Dedicated Service Award to Mary Ellen Broome.  The Dedicated Service Award is given semiannually to an employee who has shown exemplary commitment to serving members, coworkers, or the credit union as a whole by going the extra mile.

“Mary Ellen has gone to extreme lengths to make sure that the credit union has a system in place for returned mail that works now and will continue to be an efficient process for the future,” wrote Leslie Fuller, Financial Services Officer, in nominating Ms. Broome.  “[She] found ways to save money…kudos to Mary Ellen on a job not just well done, but exceptionally well done!”

Ms. Broome is an active member of the community, working part-time as a Music Therapist for Floyd Medical Center, as well as participating in the Northwest Georgia Winds and other musical groups.  She resides in Rome with her husband, David, and her two children, Sarah and Steven.
