Annual Luncheon to Honor New Teachers Scheduled for July 27
Rome, GA, July 20, 2007- The Brown Bag Luncheon, an annual event hosted by Northwest Georgia Credit Union for new educators and their administration, will be held on Friday, July 27, 2007. This is the third year that Northwest Georgia Credit Union has hosted the luncheon, which is designed to honor, celebrate, and inspire teachers who are new to Floyd County Schools, Rome City Schools, Darlington School, Unity Christian School, Saint Mary’s Catholic School, Berry Elementary School, and Berry Middle School. Dr. Craig McDaniel, President of Coosa Valley Technical College and Keynote Speaker, hopes to provide encouragement and confidence, as well as spark discussion about technical education. The upcoming event has already drawn community-wide support from many local organizations, such as Redmond Regional Medical Center, Harbin Clinic, Longhorn Steakhouse, Shorter College, Christie’s Office Supply, Coosa Valley Technical College, Q102, Bella Luna, Tennessee Aquarium, AIG/VALIC, Chick-Fil-A at Mount Berry Square, and others. The Brown Bag Luncheon will be held at the Forum’s Riverwalk Ballroom at 12 noon.
Founded in 1961 as Floyd County Teachers Federal Credit Union, Northwest Georgia Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution that serves all local educators. Additionally, the credit union serves employees and their families of nearly 100 other manufacturers and organizations in the Greater Rome community.
