Annual BBQ Thursday, October 18

It is with bittersweet feeling that we reluctantly accept the resignation of our long-time credit union president, Ms. Cheryl L. Huffman. Ms. Huffman has grown up through the ranks in the credit union, and has served as the President for 22 of her 25 years at Northwest Georgia Credit Union.

While we see that this career move is exciting for her, it is a personal loss for Northwest Georgia Credit Union and a gain for Berry College.  Under the leadership of Ms. Huffman, the credit union has grown financially into a solid $50 million institution with multiple ATMs, a host of member services and products, and a branch office.

We the Board, with Ms. Huffman’s assistance, will be moving to make a smooth, seamless transition in leadership. An interim President will be named before Ms. Huffman leaves office. It is, and will always be, the welfare of our members’ accounts that will be the guide in the Board’s efforts and decision making.

We the Board, congratulate Ms. Huffman on her career move and will strive to maintain the strength in the credit union that she built during her tenure.
