Northwest Georgia Credit Union wants to be your credit union, and we would love to serve you!
In order to qualify for the benefits of NWGACU membership you must reside in Floyd County located in Georgia or be employed by one of our Sponsor Employee Groups. Sponsor Employee Groups are businesses and organizations that have partnered with us to offer credit union membership as an employee benefit to their staff. Family of current members can also join! We define family as anyone related by blood, marriage, adoption, or someone living in the same household. This also includes surviving spouses of deceased members. Members of the Getting Ahead Association are also eligible to join.
We serve approximately 100 employee groups in the Greater Rome area. If you are unsure whether your employer offers membership, check our listing. If your employer does not offer credit union membership as a free employee benefit, express your interest by letting us know. We will contact your organization on your behalf.
Joining NWGACU couldn’t be easier!
- Just bring your government-issued picture ID (e.g. driver’s license, military ID). If your ID indicates a PO Box, or the address is not current, please also bring proof of physical residence, such as a recent utility bill.
- Complete a short form and deposit at least $25.00 into your new savings account.
Depositing that $25.00 allows you to have full, free access to all of our services. Maintaining that $25.00 also ensures that you are a member for life, even if you move or change jobs.
